Our Natural Environment
From the high mountain peaks, the free flowing rivers, and the vastly productive valley floor comes the true qualities of our meats - these features of the environment come together to produce an incredibly fertile habitat where our animals thrive. All of the participating raches and farms in our program depend on these elements to produce high qulity livestock and feed.
Our Animals & Their Habitat
The animals we raise are purchased from local producers that have become part of our program through a strict verification process. Verification includes an agreement to never treat the animals with subtherapuetic antibiotics or administer any hormones and to guarantee a strictly grass diet once weaned from their mothers' milk.
In the winter and early spring, we provide animals with an exceptional diet of alfalfa and grain grass hay on grazing pastures leased from local land owners. Once the snow has melted and the fields have been returned to hay production, the cattle travel to the surrounding mountains to graze on pristine high quality mountain grasses. This is made possible through the Forest Service lease program which provides local ranchers with a resource for a quality summer diet.
The following ranches are a part of our program, each participating to some degree in our breeding, purchasing, feeding and pasturing efforts. To them we are grateful for their involvement in our family business and their larger commitment to a healthy prosperous community.
